Placing an Order
Shopping on The Green Store website could not be simpler. Just browse our website, click on any items that you wish to purchase and add them to your shopping basket. You can view your shopping basket at any time at the right hand side of your screen.
After you have finished your selection, click on the "Checkout" button after which you will be asked to input your payment details, delivery address and contact details to complete the order.
We accept payment from the following cards Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Visa Electron, Maestro and Solo. We do not charge for any item until it is dispatched. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped.
When your order is received a confirmation e-mail will be sent to you. This is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
The Green Store delivers goods to the UK mainland, Scottish Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles and the Channel Islands.
We use first and second class post, and Royal Mail Standard Parcel depending on the total weight of the order. On some occasions a DHL courier will be used.

We endeavour to re-use packing materials that we have received through deliveries or recycled and recyclable material. The parcel filling material we use is made from biodegradable corn starch or shredded waste paper from the office. Any bubble wrap that we use in packing is also biodegradable.
Back Orders
On our website we endeavour to always indicate when an item is available but in the unfortunate event of products being out of stock we will back order them for you. You will always be e-mailed with an estimate of delivery and the option to cancel if you do not wish to wait.
Your credit card will not be charged until your goods are dispatched and no extra delivery charges will be added.
Cancellation Policy
You may normally cancel your order (once accepted by us) for any reason up to the point of despatch. If you do cancel the contract within this time any payments made by you will be refunded in full within 30 days.
Returns Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with the quality of our goods, but if anything does not meet with your satisfaction, please inform us by email at returns@thegreenstoreonline.co.uk within 48 hours of receipt, and return the items within 14 days for an exchange or full refund of the purchase price. Returned items must be unopened, unused and in their original packaging.
If for any reason goods you receive are not those ordered or are faulty or damaged in some way, please e-mail us within 48 hours of your receipt, and return them unused and in their original packing within 14 days of receipt for exchange or refund.
Postage will be reimbursed, and your exchange goods will be shipped free of charge, where an error has been made on our part, or if the goods happen to arrive damaged.
Tax Charges
All products are priced including VAT at 17.5%, where applicable.
Security
Your security is important to us so we take every step possible to protect your personal information.
For your credit card payments we use Protx. Protx has been audited and approved by all of the major UK acquiring banks and is accredited under the Visa Account Information Security audit that specifically examines security of credit card details processed and stored by Protx.
Your payment card information is immediately encrypted before being sent for secure processing. We do not keep it on file, nor do we see it at any stage.
Protx makes use of Public Key Infrastructure and Digital Certificates to ensure the authenticity and security of each transaction. 2048 bit encryption is used - the strongest level employed by any payment service provider.
Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. It will not be disclosed to any other organisation unless you give explicit permission, or there is a legal obligation to do so. Our Data Protection Act registration number is Z982438X.
We keep to strict security standards to prevent any unauthorised access to your details.
Privacy
The Green Store will not divulge any information we receive from customers to anyone other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.. We will not rent, sell or give your name, email or credit card information or purchase history to any other company, agency or individual.
